Riders:Alan Jones (dec)Alvaro Rey Brian Hipwell Chris Hooker Des Higgs Edith Hipwell Gareth Leach Geoffrey Graham James Leach Jan McCabe Jenny Marriott Laurent Chambard Philip Thornton-Evison Richard Divall Ron Cutler Steve Bruffell Steve Smith Steve Swanton Riders = 18 Report:18 on a beautiful evening, including newcomer Phil who was cycling to the shops on his replica Pederson cycle and ended up cycling 24 miles with a select "middle group".We all headed out in the same direction,Denchworth,Lyford, Charney Bassett,Gainsfield, Hatford, Shellingford. Just before shellingford A few of the riders were starting to get A little bit tired of the pace. It was decided to split into two groups. Brian to led the fast group and they would climb an extra Hill out of Uffington and along the main road to silver lane and back to grove via West Challow and Denchworth. There was some confusion as to who was in Brian group hence the select group in the middle.Edith small group continued the planned route thruogh Shellingford, Uffington station, Bualking. Goosey, Denchworth and back to Grove. We admired the sunset and glimpsed four air balloons it was a lovely evening. | ||
