Description:Weekly 1.5 - 2 hours at a riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). May be hilly. After a month or so of hills, best go north again! Tonight we'll again go out to Frilford, but go north on the A415 to Marcham, across to Cothill, through Dry Sanford and over the A420. From there we'll make our way over to Fyfield and wend our way back to Charney and a return through Denchworth.Despite this being a flat ride, you must bring lights as the nights are rapidly drawing in. |

Luckily the husband was very happy to lead half the group - thanks Andy . Also thanks to David Tallboys and Nick Dunton for sweeping the rides and Nicole for providing first aid on Andy's ride!So having seen off the faster of the 2 groups, we proceeded off across the Vale. A few false starts and we were off to Garford and a stretch of the A338. At the Frilford crossroads we turned right and then went through the back of Marcham, which is very pretty. A lost water bottle at Wootton, paused us but we quickly resumed and crossed the A420 at Bessels Leigh. Through Appleton and Fyfield, back over the A420 and another pause for someone to recover from a cleat issue. A slow down for the unmade up road that is part of the roadworks on the Hanney-Southmoor road. A glorious setting sun accompanied us as we said goodbye to Adrian and Des at Charney. There was a gathering on my shoulder as we crossed the Denchworth railway bridge and then a group were off to stretch their legs back to Grove.
