Description:The idea behind this mini series of rides (one in June, one in July) is to provide confident 2* riders with a taste of 3* routes and riding.We will ride the route of a 3* Tuesday evening ride, one incorporating hill(s), but riding at the bottom of the 3* pace range. We'll then stop for a coffee and a chat at the end of the ride. *PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN START VENUE - NOW WMP* Today we will repeat a 3* ride from earlier this season riding up Hackpen Hill and then back into the Vale via Seven Barrows. The slight difference will be that we will start and finish in Wantage to incorporate a coffee and chat for those who would like to. |

We welcomed Jo Little who I had met yesterday on an excellent Bike Maintenance course in Wantage and were waved off in the market Place by our chairman.We headed out of Wantage and through the Letcombes, all ascending Hackpen hill successfully, with a short pause at the top. The descent of Blowing Stone hill was tackled sensibly and with due respect given recent events and the second half of the ride through the Vale was a breeze. We said goodbye to Richard in Grove and Olivia in Wantage and the remaining group headed to the Bay Tree Cafe for tea/coffee and cake. A really great group to lead. I had a lovely morning; hope you did too.  | ||
