Report:Six of us left Wantage and cycled along the flat to Betterton before going up and over the Ridgeway, continuing over Hernehill Down, and taking the By-ways around Redlane Barn (Leader tip - riding the route in advance would have avoided ending up very slightly lost in a field of sheep), paused for refreshment at the pub in West Ilsley, before continueing upto the Ridgeway, which we went along for a couple of miles, before descending the steep grassy field, and then more gentle descent alongside the gallops to west lockinge before returning to Wantage. The weather stayed dry and the nettles didn't sting too much!Jan | ||
