Daytime 1* Thursday Ride 1*
Leader:
Des Higgs
Start Time:
10:30 am
Start Location:
Des Higgs House
Description:
Social rides up to half day - 32km (20 miles), usually with a cafe stop, at a riding pace of 16-20km/h (10-12mph). Please check website on the morning of the ride if the weather is poor as it may be cancelled or the start time changed.

A ride on roads that you have not ridden on before to the National Trust tea rooms at Buscot. Unfortunately some of the route is the same as the last time from my place, but a bit further and one more climb but not too steep. If you don't know my address or postcode please ring and I will give you it.

Ride Distance 20 miles, or a total of approx 40 miles if you ride out from Wantage and back.

Report:
A really excellent group of people to ride with, which made it a very good ride. I promised a ride on roads that you had never ridden before and I think I honoured that. We had a good lunch stop at Buscot (a first for most) after a trip down to the river Thames to hear stories of brandy distilling.

This was a bit lumpy compared to other 1* rides, but everyone handled it exceptionally well and kept the group together. Thanks for a good ride with good company.
