Description:Social rides up to half day - 32km (20 miles), usually with a cafe stop, at a riding pace of 16-20km/h (10-12mph). Please check website on the morning of the ride if the weather is poor as it may be cancelled or the start time changed.This week a repeat of a lovely ride to the Ridgeway above Hendred and back via Ardington for coffee. 18miles I would recommend long trousers as the cycle paths may have some overlapping vegetation! |

A revisit of a ride which Steve Swanton led earlier in the year for the benefit of the Thursday morning group, all of whom climbed to the ridgeway without difficulty, and were rewarded with splendid views of the Vale and a beautiiful descent into Hendred. The path from Hendred had been cleared and so there were no sore legs. Coffee/ lunch at Ardington was a sociable event with more than the usual banter! A lovely morning with great company. Thanks to Des and Karl for sweeping and keeping the leader in check! | ||
