As the railway bridge on the A338 was closed for repairs the traffic was much worse than usual and traffic lights had been placed over the bridge between Grove and Denchworth. The ride split at Hanney with Jan leading the faster group through Garford onto Marcham and then on to Tubney and Fyfield. The slower group led by myself went straight up crossing the A415 and the A420 to Fyfield. We both rode the same route from here cycling along to Longworth, crossing the A420 again by the bridge and then back to Grove via Southmoor and Charney Bassett. The slow group covered 30 km and arrived 'home' about 4 minutes before the faster group who covered 37 kms.Diane | ||
