It was another lovely evening for a ride, though the headwind as we went up and down Hackpen was very annoying. The first time I've had to pedal going downhill for quite a while! It did mean we had a great ride as we went along Sevenbarrows and we returned to Grove in good time. The earlier start was definitely worth it. Thanks to everyone for being a great group to ride with and for following good ride group etiquette. With so many riders it could have been difficult but we all got through the road works and traffic without any problems.

Report:Four riders left Grove into quite a strong headwind but at least no rain although the sky was quite black all around. After picking Anke up at Letcombe, we carried on at a good pace as the wind was very cold and we wanted to stay warm (especially the leader who was dressed more for a spring ride and not a winter one!)A change of route to go through Sparsholt, Kingston Lisle and Goosey, but I think everyone enjoyed it. A very easy ride to lead with a very friendly group, Thanks, all,
