Out through Denchworth to West Hanney, up and across to Charney Bassett, then across to Hatford and down to Stanford in the Vale before a run along Park Lake back to Denchworth and home. About 17 miles - lights are essential but we should be back around sunset. |

May be hilly.Jo Little Secondary Ride Leader Building on last week, we're back out to the Letcombes but then up Hackpen Hill before the glorious downhill to Sevenbarrows, a kind climb up to the Ridgeway and then down to Kingston Lisle and a return via Baulking and Goosey. Eminently doable for all of us within the available light but please don't forget your lights as it will still be getting dark by the end. |

Slightly cool (except on top of Hackpen Hill) and enough of a light mist to make the views magical. Add in a muntjac, a glimpse of a barn owl and that's a lot of ticks on the nature list . Our minds were focussed by the fading light, which ensured that we kept a good pace despite the rolling nature of the route. Thanks to first time rider Richard for ensuring we all crossed the Springline road safely after descending Blowingstone Hill. Eddie and Andy did sterling work as sweeps and of course Jo ensured her group enjoyed the ride as much as the group I led.

May be hilly.Basic route as per GPS file which can be extended with 1 or 2 climbs up to the ridgeway towards the end -from Sparsholt and/or Court hill depending on progress. Keen to finish before it is getting too dark though, certainly if it is a dull day, so will decide during the ride and people can miss out on the potential add-ons and go straight back if they want (as long as we know they do!) |

Riders:Andy CowanFrank Schroer Jason Jones Louis Hall Pete Wrench Riders = 5 Weather:Report:5 riders started in better weather than initially forecasted. The planned route started as good as flat until Fawler Hill where we got in good time so it was decided to add the 2 optional hills for those that wanted this. This got us in Wantage just as the sun was setting and allowed to see champions league history being made.
