3. Treasurer’s Autumn statement – Roger
4. Oxfordshire Cycling Network update – Robin

A glorious sunny day with light winds for the lockdown busting Thursday ride that turned into a Wednesday ride. JT nearly missed the start as he had been off for a sneaky 15 miles before the off!
We were, thankfully, incident free and Childrey shop did us proud in glorious warm sunshine - the cinnamon bun was delicious.

Steph and David joined us by car for a coffee and Jan arrived on a fixie.

Who knows when we can do this again........................

Report:
A convivial chat between a small group of us as we looked forward to the start of the White Horse Cycle Challenge this weekend. We discussed routes and the possibility of putting on a few rides once lockdown is lifted (lookout for further details). Jan inspired us with her plan to cycle the hill every day over the 16-days. Wow.
One interesting question was how many riders would it take to equal the height of Mt Everest? After various attempts to measure the height of the climb from the B4507 to the top of Dragon Hill Road, I came up with 296ft of ascent (see photo attached). So 98 riders would achieve the goal of 29035 ft . Go for it Wantage!!
A note of caution: the final cattle grid just before the T-junction with the road up from Woolstone (which passes the main NT car park) has a broken bar on the left hand side as you descend - so recommend keeping right. See also the photos attached.
Good luck to everyone undertaking the challenge. Take care, stay safe and enjoy it!
