Report:
Only 6 riders today as a lot were away and the conditions were blustery. However, despite forecasts of showers we enjoyed a dry and sunny, if windy ride.
As we set off into the wind towards Denchworth, I soon began to wonder whether travelling west was the best idea

I had decided to do a flat ride around the Vale, going out through Denchworh (where Steve Q took the fast group in the opposite direction to find some hills) & Charney Basset, crossing the A420 nr Southmoor and returning via Hinton Waldrist & Gainfield.

All went well until just before the A420, when Phil had a puncture, unfortunately no-one had a spare mountain bike style inner tube so a repair was needed

Report:
16 riders on an overcast evening for one of our longest evening rides of the year, about 23 miles. Kevin led at gentle pace out through Wantage to the Ashbury road and on to the Childrey crossroads where we dropped down into the hill and continued through the springline villages to Kingston Lisle. We all enjoyed the descent of Fawler hill and the momentum was kept up into Uffington. From Uffington we climbed to Fernham and then with the wind on our backs enjoyed a good run through Shellingford and Hatford to Stanford. Returned to Grove at 8:35 via Park Lane and Asti Stud just beating the light.
Good to have Marion out with us for her first evening ride of the year abd to see Richard J back on his bike too.

Report:
We started from Goring Station in beautiful sunshine - did rather better this year with 10 riders compared to the 3 last time we started from Goring.
We started by going up a road climb to Upper Gatehampton Farm at and immediately descended through a great chalk wood. Onto road, through cold habour and into hill bottom and back into the woods (got minorly lost).

Took the road to Crays Pond and some nice swoopy singletrack in Abbots Wood.On to road up Cocks Hill just to get to the brilliant descent in Hammonds Wood. Stopped just long enough at the bottom to grin and prepare for another road climb.

Down towards the strip Lynchets and on road through Braziers Common, into Checkendon. Right fork at Ipsden Wood towards Heath End.Still on bridleway through Hook End towards Lackmore Wood. On to A4074, then onto B road towards Goring Heath.

Onto bridleway descending into Bottom Wood then down to Mapledurham and then back on bridleway to Hardwick Stud Farm. Right turn up steep road climb up Path Hill. Benoit decided to race Pete to the top until he realised it was significantly longer than he originally thought. Back down the hairpins to Hardwick Stud Farm and then back to Whitchurch past Bozedown Farm and along the Thames Path and back to station

We headed off in the direction of Lockinge through Lains barn, round past Betterton House, through Ginge to West Hendred and through the farm road which is now part of the sustrans route to Didcot.Edith and a small group were travelling quite fast and reached Harwell site and waited for about 15 minutes, Edith decided to go back and look for the rest but found no one so decided to return to Grove with rider in her group along the decided route, arriving back in Grove to wait the return of the rest of the group. we discoverd Angela had a puncture and Larrisse had taken a tumble this was what had delayed the rest of the group.
