Report:
11 riders set out from Grove under a clear blue sky to meet up with Andy and Ronnie at the fire station in Wantage. We cycled out on the B4507 turning right and passing through Childrey and on to Challow station. After a short stretch on the A417, we turned off to Goosey and through Denchworth (of course!) and on to Southmoor. Then down the A415 through Kingston Bagpuize to the busy Millets Farm, where we stopped for tea and cakes. Limited selection and everything priced at a pound, regardless of size or volume! Thanks to the beautiful weather, we were able to sit outside and appreciate spring in the English countryside. Back on our bikes again and eastwards to the Frilford traffic lights, where we turned north past the golf course. Left again through Tubney and through the tunnel under the A420 to Longworth. A circuit around there, then over the A420 pedestrian bridge into Southmoor and a bit later, we experienced the sight of Denchworth twice in one day! Thence to Grove, where after 52 km, we all said farewell and made our way homewards. Thanks to Richard for leading the ride and to Brian, who once again rode shotgun.

When I woke up on Thursday it was snowing & I wasn't much looking forward to a ride in the evening, but the weather improved during the day and by 6:30 it wasn't bad, 6 of us left Grove via Denchworth & Goosey, then climbed up to Kingston Lisle before descending to Uffington & on the The Eagle at Little Coxwell, where we were joined by the other 7 - had good food and a couple of beers before a fast ride back to Grove.
(a possible venue for a Xmas do?).

Twentyfour cyclists set out on a fairly good afternoon for the time of the year.We headed out of Grove towards Denchworth the group stayed together fairly well at the start.Kevin F. arrived on his bike with very young son sat in front of him in a child seat on the crossbar.Tom being only about six months old is our youngest cyclist todate, however he was fast asleep and quite oblivious of the event taking place.Kev and Tom travelled with us through Lyford and on to Charney Bassett where the left us to return home. we cotinued on through Stanford In The Vale,Goosey, Denchworth and back to Grove. It was an enjoyable ride with no unforseen events.

Report:
I made it 99.5Km for those that started at Wantage, with some joining after a fast dash trying to keep up with Diane at Farringdon. Then onto the Barringtons via Langford and Filkins with an extra loop via Aldsworth for some.

Lunch at The Fox Inn, Great Barrington, good food, good beer (Donningtons) and excellent service, we were then able to climb the mandatory couple of hills straight after lunch in a loop north of Burford, decending through Swinbrook to cross tha A40 for Brize Norton.

A quick stop in Bampton and onto Aston Pottery for tea, which was shut. Fearing an imminent lynching, we did a quick loop through the backroads to cross the Thames at Tadpole bridge, and back to back via Charney Basset to Grove.

Our numbers now depleted with the loss of the Farringdon, Longcot and Abingdon contingents (and what happened to Derek?), we stopped for tea and coffee at Dianes before braving the cold for the last couple of K to Wantage.

All followed Steve to West Hanney, where the group split -

The fast and the furious keeping it above 32kph to Southmoor, then over the bridge to Hinton Waldrist, Pusey, Gainfield and return via Charney Bassett and Denchworth. Managed not to drop too many on the way. 19 miles.

While 13 tried to keep up with Kevin, the remaining 6 of us had a more leisurely ride up to the Fyfield cross-roads before turning left to Charney Bassett and back via Denchworth. 12 miles. Steve

Report:
Jon was unable to come along and lead the ride as He'd injured himself in a downhill competition the previous weekend (Hope you're recovering well Jon) - but he provided me with a route and asked if I'd lead. The route was excellent, we made good time on the dry tracks, up and over the ridgeway, through the Blue Bells and back into a head wind along the ridgeway - before descending again and returning to Wantage in time for tea and cakes in the museum!

Report:
Just one group tonight at leisurely pace to Kingston Lisle led by Steve. The weather was threatening, but not a drop fell. Out through Denchworth and then up to the A417, West Challow and the bridleway to Childrey. We swooped through the springline villages to Kingston and then back via Goosey. I'm told it was about 17 miles.
