Regular Saturday Ride from Grove

Description: 45km (28mile) ride out through Longworth and Appleton, with a stop at Millets farm on the return. Lights recommended for the return journey.

Evening Ride and Pub Night

Description: Ride with us to the Wheatsheaf in East Hendred or meet us there for a meal, a pint and a chat in the pub from 20:00. Lights required.
Riders: Derek Boutle Diane Stuckey Jan McCabe Judi Boutle Kevin Fairs Nigel Stuckey Richard Divall Wenfeng Yang Riders = 8 Report: Although it was very cold, (-2C according to the thermometer in our window at home), it was a dry evening with no wind at all. I had planned the shortest route possible without going on any major roads for too far! Three of us set off to The Wheatsheaf in East Hendred. We cycled through Grove and along the cycle path next to the A338. Up through Charlton where we crossed the A417 and went down through the bridle way to Lockinge, through Ginge and on to West Hendred. At this point we did a short trip down the A417 until we turned right into East Hendred to the Pub. They had a good fire going and it gave us all a chance to warm up and to enjoy an excellent meal joined by the remaining 5 who all drove to the pub. (They were the sensible ones!) Diane

Mince Pie Ride to White Horse Hill

Leader: Steve Swanton	Start Time: 10:00 am	Start Location: WMP
Description: Ride with us from Wantage at 10am or join us at the White Horse Hill NT car park (Grid Ref 293866) from 11:15am for mince pies & mulled wine. Proceeds to Whizz Kidz, the childrens mobility charity. Afterwards the ride will continue to the True Heart at Bishopstone for lunch. If you would like to join us, please let Steve S know by Thursday 9 December. Stop press: A very big thank you to Chris Walters for securing matching funding for all monies raised on the day from The Vodafone UK Foundation scheme. Everything you give will be worth double to Whizz Kidz, so please give generously.
