Report:
9 riders left Grove, we were not sure if it was the posssible rain or the football (Liverpool v Chelsea) that kept everyone away! We went through Lain's Barn and crossed over the A417 and down into Ardington. A loop around and then through East and West Lockinge. We then continued through Wantage and up the B4507 and down Silver Lane to the A417 at West Challow. We continued down the A417 turning right into Goosey and then the longer loop around to Denchworth and back to Grove. The weather kept improving and what looked like being a possible wet ride turned into a beautiful evening. 32 kms in all.

Report:
Ride went out via Uffington, where we split into two groups with David taking the longer route via Lambourn, whilst I lead the shorter route up White Horse Hill, Mavis and I started of slowly pottering up White Horse Hill to keep Jo company, as it was one of her first Saturday rides, however when she said "please excuse me, but I need to do this at my own pace" and shot off ahead of us, we realised the Jo had definately got the hang of climbing hills!

Both routes went back via Wantage and on to Ardington, where we met up again at the Post Office tea rooms, and were also joined by Richard and Kevin, Wen and Tom - who had decided just to do the cafe and not the cycling! Feeling well refreshed we then completed the final few miles back to Grove

Five Wantage CTC members and Caroline, a friend of Wen's, arrived at The Star Inn in Sparsholt for a good night out. Unfortuately Wen was working and Kevin only picked her up after we all had eaten. It would pay to remember that Thursday nights is their steak night although they were happy to arrange other meals for us. Steak, chips, peas and tomato came at the bargain price of

Report:
Eighteen riders left Grove with Jan leading and myself acting as sweep. We took the route through Denchworth and then on to Lyford. Turning right at Lyford the slower group went on to Southmoor while eight riders led by Steve B did a route up around Kingston Bagpuize. The slower group crossed over the footbridge to Longworth then down to Hinton Waldrest crossing over the A420 through Pusey and turning left at Gainfield. With the wind and the sun behind us we all flew down the road to Charney Bassett, back through Denchworth and home to Grove. The fast group arrived minutes after the slow riders, not sure where they had been as we expected them to fly past us near Gainfield!! Thanks Jan for a lovely ride and many thanks to Steve for taking over the fast ride - I am not sure that he had much option in the matter but neither did he object!!

Report:
A warm and pleasant evening. I rode my full suspension bike for a bit of off rode, which was in fact the sustrain track to Harwell site. Diane and Des not wanting to get his new bike dirty descided to do their own thing and headed in the opposite direction to Wast Hanney and through Cow Lane to Steventon and back home via the Hendreds. The tracks were dry and pleasant to cycle on I enjoyed the ride and pace and I believe most of the riders did to, however we were abandoned by a few riders on the last hill which was a shame because the coast down the other side was billiant.
