Riders:Angela Douglas (dec)David Bridge Ginny Henderson Glen Savegar Jan McCabe Jane Pearson Neil Warner Richard Divall Riders = 8 Report:I thought with it being the New Year, and everyone having recently made resolutions, that the numbers would have been high, but only 6 of us turned up at Grove - I guess others must have been put of by the weather forcast, however whilst it looked a bit dull, it was actually fine and we stayed dry and warm(ish) for the whole ride.Shortly after we left, we were joined by Neil and Ginny, taking the numbers to 8 until Jane left us (as planned) in Abingdon. We stuck more or less to the planned route, but after Neil had a puncture on the cycleway (and we were impressed by his "scabs") we decided to take a shorter route to the tea rooms, where we were met by Steve, we all enjoyed the refreshment before the short return via Lains BarnThanks to David for leading Jan

Report:The cold weather meant that only 3 of us rode (myself. Diane and Richard) we started with a detour to Diane's house so she could collect some warmer gloves, and then continued via Denchworth, where it was tempting to go direct to the pub, but we resisted and turned right, taking a route through Lyford, then cris crossing the lanes between Hanney and Southmoor, before returning via Charney Basset and Asti stud, to arrive at the Fox just before 8, we had just placed our orders and got comfy in front of the fire, when we were joined by Kev and Wen, we'd just about finished eating (the food meeting The Fox's normal high standard) when Neil arrived to join us for a drink, after that we departed to cycle home, the full moon made it a lovely evening for cycling, excellent visibility, and a bit chilly but not too cold. Hopefully see you on the next Pub Night!Jan

The pub has been much upgraded by the present licensee over the last 2 years, and with an excellent chef in the kitchen, the 18 members who attended, enjoyed an excellent 3 course meal. Attendance was slightly disappointing, as many regulars were away, but those who did go fitted neatly into the available space.Diane had arranged some small cycle orientated gifts for all present and these were distributed by means of numbers concealed in crackers at each place setting. All the diners had pre-booked their choices, so the courses were served slickly and without any delays. Many stayed to chat after the meal and it was close to eleven o
