Report:
Glorious Autumn sunshine and hardly a breeze made for some fab cycling.

With the limited available afternoon light, and a puncture stop near Gainfield, it soon became clear that the original planned route was probably going to be stretching it a bit. Several of the group decided they would push on to Lechlade, while the remainder of us headed for Faringdon and enjoyed the tea and cake at the Coffee House in the market square.

Finally heading home via Fernham, Baulking, and Goosey, taking in the lovely views across the Vale.

Thanks everyone for your company on my first attempt as a rides leader!

Report:
Unfortunately, the KAH chose tonight to close for refurbishments, so we decamped to the Bear across the Square. Thanks to Neil for phoning around to let everyone know.
It was decided that we would have a pub night in the Wantage area as an informal social gathering once a month or so - these will start in January on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. More details in the next programme and on the website soon...

Report:
The day before this ride I did a "fitness test" which required an 11km climb up the "Long Mountain" at Westbury in Shropshire, so I was not entirely sure whether my legs would last!

Fortunately they did... we went over to Shrivenham in a roundabout way via Compton Beauchamp, and then back through Fernham and Gainford.

Really nice weather (a bit windy on the way out though), and we really did keep the pace up, covering 50km in 2 hours.... number freaks can have a look at the graph below to see the ride in more detail.

Thanks for organising this Ginny.

Report:
Despite threatening forecasts last week, today dawned clear, still and fresh with a light frost. A perfect November day to be out on the bike. 14 set off from Wantage, but we soon spread out climbing Manor Road. At which point Kev and Wen decided to make their own way to lunch. Soon after we suffered the first of 2 punctures, both of which were sorted quickly and without fuss. From the monument we climbed over to Woolley and then right to Chaddleworth, through the village and down the valley to Boxford. We then entered less familiar territory
