Regular Saturday Ride from Grove

Description: 40 to 50 km ride with a tea stop. Trip round the Vale of the Wight Horse with a cafe stop at Millets Farm
Riders: Chris Mallinson David Bridge Diane Stuckey Ginny Henderson Henk Altmann (deceased) Jeny Nicholls Richard Divall Roger Payn Riders = 8 Report: 8 of us left Grove for the Saturday ride led by Richard on 3 oct 2004. Despite a bad weather forcast we had a lovely gentle ride and were not much bothered by the wind . We took a squiggly route via Steventon , Milton, Drayton ,Abingdon, Marcham and Tubney to Millets for tea. The heavens opened during the last five minutes of riding and we had to scamper to get inside for welcome refreshments. By the time we finished the rain was gone and we set off again for home, some of us a little chilly and leg weary by now. Thanks to Richard for leading us. Cheers Gin

Description: Meet Market House, Ledbury at 10am for 10:30 departure, follow quiet country lanes stopping to visit cider producers and orchards. Plenty of time in Much Marcle to picnic (BYO) and explore Big Apple events

Evening Ride and Pub Night

Description: Ride with us to the Plough in West Hanney or meet us there for a meal, a pint and a chat in the pub from 20:00. Lights required
Riders: David Bridge Diane Stuckey Richard Divall Steve Swanton Riders = 4 Report: Only two of us on the bike from Grove tonight. Despite the showery day, it was a dry evening. As neither of had done much cycling for the last month we opted for a short loop out to Charney Bassett via Ast Stud and on to Hanney via Lyford. Diane soon joined us (having been dropped off by Nigel) followed later by David. Food was excellent and despite the low turnout the 4 of us had an enjoyable evening. Steve S.

Description: Includes a lunch time stop at a pub. N.B. Later winter starting time. Join us for a ride to The Red Lion at Castle Eaton. Plan is to go via Fernham, Shrivenham & Highworth, arriving at the pub about 12:30, and to return via Lechlade, Clanfield and Bampton, distance 87km (approx 55 miles)
